Assassins the new flagrunners?
I was watching a battle between two top guilds. I can't remember they're names or rank, but they were really evenly matched.
The only difference is that blue won. And the reason blue won is because of the flag tower.
They had the same amount of deaths on both sides, but red could not get the flagtower back so the dp was huge. Also the fact that they're res sigs were not recharged.
The R/A on the blue team had a job. His job was to take out archer npc's and gank the flagrunner.
He did both extremely well.
The flag runner was still a ways away from the flagstand, and the assassin attacked.
The ranger crippled him and went on his merry way with stormchaser.
Not so. The r/a used aura of displacement to teleport right to him and then used caltrops to cripple the flagrunner. Then he proceeded to give the flagrunner such an extreme beating. Flagrunner put on distortion. The r/a had an lead attack that could not be blocked or evaded.
To put it this way, the flagrunner died 6 times all by the assassin. And red lost.
In my mind the new flag runner is easily an assassin.
Using recall you can teleport to a target ally.
If you get in range, you can teleport to an archer npc or guild lord by the flag.
use stormchaser till one of your allies is in view and then teleport to him.
It's way faster and much much safer, as it's hard to hit you when you teleport so much.
Ranger flagrunners have no chance anymore with assassins.
